Buying off-plan: a straight-talking guide

Reserving a home that isn’t built yet can feel like a leap. What you’re agreeing to, what protects you, and what to ask us.

Buying “off-plan” means reserving a home before it has been finished, or sometimes before it has been started. It’s how most new homes are sold, and it has real advantages, but it’s natural to have questions.

The advantages

What protects you

New-home buyers in England are protected by the New Homes Quality Code, which sets out how builders must sell, build and support their homes, and gives you access to an independent ombudsman if things go wrong. Every Meadow Rise home also comes with a 10-year structural warranty.

If a builder can’t give you a clear, written answer to a question, that tells you something. We’d always rather you asked.

Questions worth asking any builder

We’re happy to answer every one of these before you reserve. Get in touch and we’ll talk you through it.
