Hollins Meadow

Six individually designed homes on a sloping meadow site, with long views west towards the coast.

The development

A hillside meadow, handled gently

Hollins Meadow is a sloping, south-west facing field just outside Whittingham, with views that reach the coast on a clear day.

Our application proposes six four- and five-bedroom homes, each designed for its own position on the slope, with low-carbon construction and most of the meadow kept as managed grassland. We’re working closely with the parish council and neighbours, and we’ll post updates here as the application progresses.

Design principles

Six homes, six designs

Hollins Meadow will be our most ambitious scheme yet: individually designed homes that work with the slope rather than against it.

Set to the sun

Living spaces face south-west for evening light, with deep overhangs to stop summer overheating.

Following the slope

Homes step down the hillside so every one keeps the long view to the west.

Beyond net zero

We’re targeting Passivhaus principles, ground-source heat and on-site battery storage.

Meadow restored

Over half of the site stays as species-rich grassland, managed by a residents’ trust.
